Privacy policy
Effective and last updated: September 7, 2026. This notice describes how Pettus Trailers collects, uses, discloses, and protects information through this website. It also explains the choices available to California residents.
Notice at collection
When you submit a request, we collect identifiers and contact information such as your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, message, submission page, and—when applicable—the trailer you asked about. We use this information to answer sales, parts, service, financing, and special-order requests; maintain business records; and protect the website from abuse. Do not submit Social Security, banking, payment, medical, or other sensitive information through these forms.
Other information we collect
Standard hosting and security logs may include internet or network activity such as IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, timestamp, approximate location inferred from IP address, and security events. Authorized administrator activity may include account identity and an audit record of inventory or content changes.
Sources and business purposes
We receive information directly from you, automatically from your browser and our security providers, and from Pettus-controlled inventory systems. We use it to provide requested service, communicate with you, maintain accurate inventory, secure and debug the website, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses technologies necessary to operate and secure the site. Our hosting and bot-protection provider may set a short-lived security cookie, the restricted administrator area uses a secure session cookie after an authorized login, and your privacy choice is stored in a first-party cookie. Blocking necessary storage may prevent security checks, saved choices, or administrator login from working.
Google analytics and advertising storage start denied. For visitors detected in the United States, the site displays a cookie notice and then enables its own Google Analytics 4 stream to measure pages, inventory interactions, call-link clicks, and completed-form events. Google Ads and Meta advertising remain off unless you allow advertising. In locations where affirmative consent is required, the Google tag and Meta Pixel do not load until you choose an applicable category. We do not send the name, email, phone number, or message entered in a request form to Google or Meta through site measurement. You may turn analytics or advertising off or change your choice at any time.
The Meta Pixel for Facebook advertising does not load unless you affirmatively enable advertising in the privacy choices. If enabled, it may receive page views, inventory views, inventory-search actions, contact actions, confirmed request events, browser or device details, approximate location inferred from IP address, and Meta advertising identifiers such as _fbp or _fbc. The site does not include the name, email address, phone number, free-text message, or URL query values you enter in those Meta events. Disabling advertising stops new Meta events from this site and clears accessible first-party Meta advertising cookies.
How information is disclosed
Request information is available to authorized Pettus team members and service providers that host, secure, store, or deliver the request on our behalf. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information. Optional advertising technology is off unless you affirmatively allow it, and the privacy control lets you opt out of advertising storage and cross-context behavioral advertising features.
California privacy choices
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents may request to know, access, correct, or delete personal information; request information about collection and disclosure; and receive equal service without discrimination for exercising a privacy right. The law also provides rights to opt out of sale or sharing and to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. Pettus Trailers does not sell personal information and does not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require a limitation choice. A supported Global Privacy Control signal automatically keeps Google advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization denied and prevents the Meta Pixel from loading. It does not override the disclosed U.S. analytics setting. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
To submit a request, use the website contact form and begin the message with “Privacy request,” or call us at (573) 518-0800. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. Some information may be retained when an exception applies, including to complete a requested transaction, maintain security, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims.
Retention and protection
We retain information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including customer service, recordkeeping, security, legal, and dispute-resolution needs. We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to limit access, but no internet system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children and policy changes
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this notice as our practices or legal obligations change. The updated date at the top will show the current version, and material changes will be presented as required by law.
